Responsible gaming

Our position
The casino salon is optional and separate from dinner. Entry is limited to adults aged 18 or older, and valid identification may be required. Staff may refuse or stop access where a person appears underage, intoxicated, exhausted, distressed or unable to make calm decisions.
Understand the risk
Casino games may cause partial or complete loss of all money staked. Winning is never guaranteed. Previous results do not determine what happens next. Gambling is not work, an investment, a way to repay debt or a source of guaranteed income.
Set limits before entering
Choose a fixed entertainment budget that can be lost without affecting daily life, and decide a finishing time. Keep money for rent, food, healthcare, transport, tax, family and debt entirely separate. Never borrow to play.
Ask before staking
Request the rules, probability information and current minimum and maximum stakes. If an explanation is unclear, do not play. Watching without participating is allowed where capacity permits.
Pause and stop
Take regular breaks away from the table. Check the actual time and total spent, not only the most recent result. Stop when either limit is reached. Increasing stakes to recover a loss is a warning sign, not a strategy.
Alcohol, fatigue and emotion
Do not gamble when affected by alcohol, medication, lack of sleep, anger, anxiety, sadness or excitement. These states distort judgement. Staff may limit service or ask a guest to leave the salon.
Warning signs
Concern is warranted when gambling dominates thoughts, budgets are repeatedly exceeded, spending is hidden, money is borrowed, work or relationships are neglected, or losses are chased. Irritability when stopping and returning immediately after a loss also deserve attention.
Myths and probability
A losing sequence does not make a win due. Rituals, lucky numbers, table changes and confidence after a recent win do not alter chance. The mathematical advantage remains with the game over time.
On-site tools
Ask the duty manager for a rules explanation, time reminder, break, immediate session end or support leaving the room. You may request a temporary venue-level access restriction and information about wider official options.
Self-assessment
Before playing, ask whether you are calm, rested, financially secure and genuinely able to stop. If any answer is uncertain, do not play. Afterward, record the time and full amount spent without treating temporary winnings as income.
Help for guests and families
Speak to someone trusted, protect payment methods and seek support early. Families can set boundaries, protect shared finances and decline requests for gambling loans. They also deserve independent support.
Official help in France
Joueurs Info Service provides confidential, non-judgemental support at 09 74 75 13 13 and joueurs-info-service.fr. The Autorité nationale des jeux publishes information about protective measures and official restrictions. Contact emergency services where there is immediate danger.
Contact and responsibility
Write to info@labellecuisinefr.com for venue measures or a private concern. Visitors remain responsible for their decisions, time and spending, but asking for help is always appropriate. Last updated: 12 September 2026.
Prepare the visit
Write down a time limit and an affordable spending limit before arrival. Plan what you will do after leaving the salon and keep payment methods not needed for the evening out of reach. A decision made in advance is easier to follow than one made during excitement, frustration or a sequence of losses.
Protect shared finances
If money is shared with a partner or family, essential commitments must remain visible and protected. Do not treat a temporary win as household income or use it to justify a larger future gambling budget. Hiding statements, moving money between accounts or delaying bills to play are serious warning signs.
Credit and borrowing
La Belle Cuisine does not offer gambling loans. Borrowing from family, using an overdraft, selling property or taking short-term credit to continue play indicates that gambling is no longer contained as leisure. Leave the salon and seek independent help promptly.
Temporary access restriction
A guest can ask the duty manager about a venue-level restriction. We explain its duration, practical scope, necessary identification and limits. Because a single-venue measure cannot cover other gambling channels, guests seeking broader protection should consult the Autorité nationale des jeux regarding official exclusion procedures.
Support after a difficult session
Do not attempt to resolve distress by returning immediately to play. Move to a calm place, contact someone trusted and protect access to funds. If gambling affects sleep, safety, mood or thoughts of self-harm, seek professional or emergency assistance without delay.
Staff boundaries
Salon staff can provide information, encourage a break and end access, but they cannot diagnose addiction, manage personal finances or guarantee future behaviour. Specialist services offer confidential assessment and longer-term support.
A personal limit must be lower than the table limit
Published minimum and maximum stakes describe operational boundaries, not recommended spending. The maximum should never be treated as a goal, sign of status or suitable amount. Choose a personal ceiling from disposable leisure money and keep it unchanged even after a win.
Digital and cash boundaries
Consider carrying only the payment method and amount intended for the evening. Disable instant credit access where helpful and avoid moving money between accounts during play. Cash withdrawals, repeated card attempts or requests to borrow should trigger an immediate end to the session.
Recognising distorted thinking
Common thoughts include believing a win is due, that a particular dealer or seat changes random outcomes, or that one larger stake will restore control. These impressions are not evidence. Pause when the language of necessity—“I must win it back”—replaces the language of optional leisure.
Work, sleep and relationships
Harm is not measured only by money. Cancelling plans, hiding time spent, arriving late to work, losing sleep, becoming irritable or withdrawing from family are meaningful signs. A pattern deserves attention even when debts have not yet appeared.
A plan for leaving
Decide transport and a post-salon activity before entering. When the finishing time arrives, cash out and leave the gaming area rather than renegotiating with yourself at the table. A companion may help, but responsibility cannot be transferred to them.
Supporting someone without financing play
A relative can listen, describe observed facts and encourage specialist help while refusing loans or secret debt repayment. Protect shared accounts and essential bills. Support does not require accepting abuse, deception or financial pressure.
Urgent situations
If gambling distress is linked to thoughts of self-harm, violence, homelessness or immediate danger, contact emergency or crisis services rather than relying only on venue support. Safety comes before privacy concerns or financial discussion.
